People are hard, but it works pretty easily what they want. Once you know that and have worked out how to provide it... it tends to go pretty simply.

Granted, it had never been a problem around Jade. She calmed her, soothed her out. When it got to her from time to time, she found talking to Jade evened it out faster than anyone else. ]
[Jade pauses, taking to heart what Angel says. She can only think of a few things that Ike really wants, and they definitely aren't things that she can give him. Jade sighs, throwing back her head in an exaggerated way. It all seems like such a hopeless endeavor.]
The only thing Ike wants it to like, have a lot of sex or whatever. And it's not like that's ever gonna happen. I'm not... Ike doesn't... Ike can get plenty of girls who are actually pretty. It's not like he's desperate enough to want something like that from me.
[If Jade could, she'd be blushing. She doesn't like Ike, kissing him during a life or death situation was bad enough, but there's still the fact that it hurts to know that even if she wanted to, it wouldn't happen. In Jade's mind she's not pretty or smart or good enough for anyone to like her like that, even someone as indiscriminate as Ike.]
[ She turns her head to look at her, frowning a little, shaking her head. Dismissively and then - maybe angry at Ike, too ( her rage came too easy these days, and she swallows it back ) . If he had eyes in his head, as far as she was concerned, he'd be desperate, desperate for Jade to so much as look at him. ]
Then he's an idiot, Jade. You're so much better than him. He has no idea what he's missing if he ignores you. Not that you need him. You deserve someone who doesn't need incentive or anything else. You're so amazing Jade, everyone should see it.
[Jade can't help but smile, nodding along. Angel's right. Ike is an idiot. But that doesn't mean she agrees with everything Angel's saying. She freezes, staring at her, seemingly in shock.]
